This coming week, April 1, 2 & 3, Alan and myself will be in Honolulu in the lovely land of Hawaii. Ostensibly we are there to introduce Salvatore Ambrosi Bespoke Trousers and Orazio Luciano Made to Measure Suiting, via Salvatore Ambrosi and myself. In reality we are looking forward to catching up with our old friends at Leather Soul, and our new friends in Hawaii.

Building a great store(s), brand and business is definitely GMS. My friend Tom Park’s Leather Soul mini-empire, is/are the best shoe stores in the world. World-class product, from the best makers, with well-trained, cool sales staff. Ive known Tom since his Downtown Honolulu days, and am so proud of what he has built. He has helped me build a great collection of lifetime shoes, and this pair of cognac shell cordovan double monks from Ed Green may be the greatest pair of shoes I’ve ever seen. Aloha.
