American Dad!. Season 7, Episode 15: “Less Money, Mo’ Problems”

While made in Belgium, the only place in the world, to get them is at the Belgian Shoe Store on 55th Street in NYC, to make things even more complex, the store closes at 4:30pm, nutty for New Yorkers in transit, and sued to what they want, when they want it.  The space is no more than 900 sq feet, and at 415pm last Thursday, was packed with old school patrons, downtown hipsters, a Boston blue hair, and a Hamptons preppy—bay and nanny in tow.  Stock is limited to what’s on hand, and the amenable sales staff does there best to placate the spoiled brats who were demanding additional options from what they had seen two weeks before, and were indignant that new product hadn’t made its way from Belgium to Park Avenue.  One woman demanded to know in which city the shoes were actually made, as according to her, “Belgium is no bigger than Connecticut,” so she’ll “just fly there” to get the colorway she wanted.  I apparently created my own problem writing about my favorite loafers, as there was only one pair, other than black, left in my size.  Life and fashion is complicated.
